Japan’s most respected hi-fi audio specialist teams up with the legendary Dragon Ball Z franchise to produce a series of true wireless earphone models based on some of the most popular characters from the world of Manga.
Final is experienced when it comes to collaborations, with previous series releases partnering with Evangelion and Ultraman. Now, with the official partnership with Dragon Ball Z, final has not only created stunning and fully original earphone designs; the artwork that comes with these models is equally impressive.
The final x Dragon Ball Z series of true wireless earphones come in three versions:
· Goku - £179/€179 (orange/blue)
· Vegeta - £179/€179 (white/blue/gold)
· Friesa - £70/€79 (purple/white)
The entire range is available online from Currys, Amazon and selected retailers across the UK and Europe.
An Epic Battle for the Ages: Goku vs Vegeta
At the heart of the Goku and Vegeta models is the same technology behind final’s award-winning true wireless earphones. The Qualcomm 3040 chipset and Bluetooth 5.2 provides stable connectivity with aptX and AAC compatibility for superior audio quality. Both models will achieve up to 22 hours of playtime overall, with 5.5 hours of playback from the fully charged earbuds.
The design of the earphone body is based on Goku's uniform and belt for the Goku model, and Vegeta's combat uniform for the Vegeta model. The charging case is based on a Saiyan spacecraft pod, and the packaging displays original artwork from the show which completes the Dragon Ball Z user experience.
The Ultimate Villain: Frieza
The Frieza has been developed by final and its sister company ag to create a strikingly powerful and affordable true wireless earphone; and a worthy alternative to the Goku and Vageta models. Featuring the Qualcomm 3040 chipset and Bluetooth 5.2, as well as aptX and AAC compatible audio – the Frieza delivers with high specifications at a lower price. The provided charging case helps to provide 20 hours of total playback time, with 5 hours from the fully charged earbuds.
The design of the charging case is based on the motif of Frieza’s fourth form - the earphone body is also finished in a two-tone colour of white and purple to match this iconic character design.
Be Fully Emersed into the World of Dragon Ball Z
Each model in this series not only share the design of their associated characters, the built-in audio guides are voiced by the original actors themselves. With the final x Dragon Ball Z series of true wireless earphones, take your very own personal Goku (Masako Nozawa), Vegeta (Ryo Horikawa) or Frieza (Ryuusei Nakao) along with you on your next adventure.

About final
Established in 2007, final began as a subsidiary of the major American connector manufacturer Molex; in 2014, it went independent through an MBO by the current management team. Now is what you would call, its second formation.
Since beginning sales of our own final brand earphones in 2009, our way of thinking regarding good sound quality and designs that differ to those of other major electronics manufacturers has garnered attention, and we have built our own unique place both in Japan and abroad. In Europe in particular, our products are not only sold at high-end audio shops, but also at high-quality department stores and famous lifestyle shops such as Paris’ Colette, and our sales increase steadily every year.
Products such as earphones and headphones belong to a category known as current electrical appliances whose value is the greatest when they are brand new. We, however, would like to create earphones and headphones that people have an affinity for and continue to use in much the same way they have with a mechanical wristwatch, the kind that will be valued as an antique in the future. To that end, it is necessary to embody the design of the product and the way in which it is considered, including the repair system, as a concrete organization or structure.
Our brand concept is simple and has not changed since the company’s inception - “The comprehensive pursuit of things that are fundamentally right”. In our pursuit of this, we have actively adopted cutting edge technology such as 3D printers. We believe that such a pursuit is what creates a brand.
